Driven by passion
Kyndra, better known as DJ Kyn, is a true open-format DJ who proudly embraces the role of a “human jukebox.” With a deep-rooted love for music and an ear for diverse sounds, she seamlessly blends genres like R&B, Hip Hop, Top 40, Old School, Gospel, and Country with globally influenced and culturally rich styles. Her ability to move effortlessly between sounds allows her to create experiences that resonate with every audience she encounters.
Born and raised in Missouri, Kyndra’s passion for music began early. She grew up surrounded by sound, watching her father and aunt play keyboard and organ at church, where her appreciation for live music first took shape. That passion continued to evolve as she became a percussionist in middle school, joined the drumline in high school, and later studied Mass Communications in college. During that time, she hosted her own radio show, “Kick’n It With Kyn,” where her voice, personality, and musical perspective began to take center stage.
Music has always been woven into every chapter of her life, from singing in the choir and playing in church bands, to hosting karaoke nights and curating the perfect vibe at social gatherings. Naturally, DJing became the next step.
In 2014, Kyndra officially stepped into the DJ world, blending her musical knowledge, hosting skills, and natural charisma. She joined Spark Events Entertainment, gaining experience across a wide range of events including weddings, school dances, military balls, block parties, and New Year’s Eve celebrations.
Driven by ambition and a desire to grow her brand, she moved to Kansas City in 2016 to pursue both modeling and DJing. In June 2023, she relocated to the DMV area, reestablishing herself in the scene by Spring 2024. Since then, DJ Kyn has brought energy to weddings, birthday celebrations, clubs, bowling alleys, curated R&B nights, and even international stages, including a performance at ‘ANSWR’ club, in Kusan, South Korea.
What sets DJ Kyn apart is her ability to read a room, understand the moment, and translate that into a musical experience that feels intentional and effortless. She doesn’t just play music, she curates energy, builds connection, and creates moments people remember long after the event ends.
No matter the event, the audience, or the vision, DJ Kyn is always ready to set the tone and bring the experience to life.

I believe music is more than just sound, it’s a universal language that sets the tone, shapes emotions, and connects people across backgrounds, cultures, and generations. Every event deserves more than a playlist; it deserves a carefully curated experience that reflects the vision, energy, and uniqueness of the moment.
Whether it’s a wedding, corporate event, private celebration, or nightlife experience, her approach is rooted in professionalism, preparation, and presence. I take the time to understand each client’s vision, read the room in real time, and deliver a seamless flow of music that feels both effortless and unforgettable.
My goal is simple: to create an atmosphere where people feel engaged, present, and connected, from the first song to the final moment.
